I just want to remind everyone travelling in and around Wapiti Valley, there are tons of deer crossing the road and being struck by cars. The elk are also running back and forth and they are a hazard to traffic on the Yellowstone Highway right now. Slow down, pull over and take some pictures, but be careful! The bears are out but you won't see them if you are driving 65 miles per hour. Between Wapiti and Yellowstone, drive slow and watch along the river. There are tons of animals hanging out early in the morning and later in the evening. If you get some great pictures, I'd love to share them on my website! I promise I will give you full credit. Be safe and Welcome to the Mountains!
